"The Catechism of the Global Methodist Church" is a new Bible study beginning Sunday night October 1, says the Rev. Steven Riddle, pastor of Philadelphia Methodist and Hazlehurst First Methodist Church.
The two churches have a union evening worship service at 6 every Sunday. The first and third Sundays are at PMC and second and fourth Sundays are at HFMC.
The catechism is seventy-seven questions and answers used to teach children, youth and adults the essential beliefs of the church and Wesleyan theology.
The word "catechism" means "instruction."
The Global Methodist Church was formed in May 2022 and the two local congregations became GM churches in July 2023.
